WEST JUSTICE CENTER

The West Justice Center is the the courthouse that the Huntington Beach Police Department sends all of its cases to. The West Justice Center is located at 8141 13th Street Westminster, CA 92683, which is located in Orange County. Whenever someone is arrested in the city of Huntington Beach, they will have to report to this courthouse to handle the case against them.

This courthouse handles more than just criminal cases, it also handles traffic cases, civil cases, and small claims cases. The men and women that work to make a visit to the courthouse as productive as possible have to be able to communicate with each other in order to be as efficient as possible. Some of the departments that are found in this facility include Appeals department, Civil department, Collections department, Criminal, Department, Family Court Services, Family department, Jury Services, Juvenile department, Small Claims department, and the Traffic and Infractions department. Each one of these departments has its own list of things to do with their cases that is sent to this courthouse.

The Huntington Beach Police Department depends on this courthouse to handle all of their cases for prosecution, whether it is criminal or traffic. Safety is also a big concern for everyone that has to work in a big building that experiences a lot of traffic. This is why you will have to be searched and walk through a metal detector upon entering the courthouse.

They take this precaution to make sure that everyone inside the courthouse is protected at all times. Anybody with any type of weapon, no matter how harmless it may seem, will not be allowed to enter the courthouse. To ensure the safety of the courthouse and everyone in it, they have their own little police department inside for emergencies and general security of the courthouse.

Police are stationed from the Westminster Police Department at the courthouse to run the security. Do not mistake them for being regular security guards because they have all of the training of every officer out in the field and are prepared for any situation that may occur while the courthouse is open. They are also responsible for the supervision of all of the inmates that have to attend court at the West Justice Center.

The courthouse also relies on the community for its decision-making such as when people are called for jury duty. This is a chance for members of the community to contribute to the justice system by helping decide on a case and whether the person is guilty or not. The members of the courthouse urge people to visit this courthouse and become more familiar with it and how it works so that you could understand the justice system a little better.
