It is his job to keep all of the officers are excited and motivated every day to go out into the street and risk their lives for people they have never met. The police department in its entirety is made up of smaller divisions, which separates the work load and responsibilities.
This makes it easier for everyone to complete tasks, but it relies on the communication among each other in order to work properly. Some of the different divisions in the department include: Internal Affairs, Administration, Financial Bureau, Investigations Bureau, Patrol Bureau, and the Support Bureau.
Separately, each division would not be able to make sure that the city is safe, but when they all come together for a case, then it will be done efficiently and correctly. Whenever someone is arrested in the city of Huntington Beach, they will be taken to this facility, where they will undergo the booking process and will be held until the inmate is bailed out of jail or is transferred to the county jail.
The inmate’s case for his or her charges will usually be sent to the West Justice Center. This is the courthouse that the inmate will have to answer for his or her arrest and charges.
